Roots & Branches

We all left our homelands to come here.

Our grandparents crossed deserts, kidnapped lovers, and were not our real grandparents. Some of us have our family history recorded in big books, while for others, their traces are being erased.

Our histories are a web, interconnected and fragile, which needs to be dug from the earth, to float on the breeze like a half-remembered song from our youth.

This performance was devised by Year 3 actors in collaboration with Year 2, 3 & 4 production arts students.
